Sandra D'Auriol, Dr. Brian Novack, post-operation psychosis, dead, accident |
The British socialite who stripped naked and jumped off a Beverly Hills medical tower after a facelift surgery ten weeks ago was suffering from post-op psychosis, authorities confirmed Wednesday.
The Los Angeles County Coroner ruled that Sandra D'Auriol, 53, died in an accident, not a conscious suicide bid, when she leaped off the roof of the 12-story building the morning of Jan. 22.
The coroner said she died from multiple traumatic injuries and listed "postoperation psychosis clinical" as the "significant" underlying condition.
I posted about this as it happened as I'm very close to where she jumped. My friends in the same building posted about it when she was first on the roof.

"D'Auriol, a married mother of three who worked as a jewelry designer and philanthropist in Hong Kong, was in Beverly Hills for the nip and tuck from prominent cosmetic surgeon Dr. Brian Novack.
She underwent the surgery shortly before the incident, authorities said.
D'Auriol reportedly woke from her 13-hour surgery in a panic, unidentified sources told Allure magazine.
She fought with a nurse who tried to restrain her, knocking the woman to the ground, and fled to the roof with a security guard chasing after her, Allure reported.
She lingered near the edge of the medical building's roof for hours as authorities closed the street to traffic and tried to talk her down. The efforts were in vain.
"We are conducting an investigation to determine whether or not there was criminal negligence in the matter, other than that, everything else is under the [coroner's jurisdiction]," Lt. Lincoln Hoshino with the Beverly Hills Police Department told the Daily News shortly after the death."
