UPDATE: 07/16/2026 Final update? Probably not. Now the person who demanded the dog be taken away is telling people the dog should stay with the owner. Time to go rescue other dogs who are truly in need.
The dog named "Jeff" has been groomed yesterday. His hair is now short. Groomer posted video showing that the dog loves the owner named "Christian." The groomer and rescuer then gave the dog back to the owner who took it home. Now everyone is attacking the rescuer for giving the dog back.
Today one activist who previously was all for stealing the dog now says people should help people with their pets and not attack and mob them. That's not what he was saying for the previous few days. He's probably frightened because LAPD was there last night because of the mob of protesters threatening to commit crimes against the lady. Unfortunately most disagree with him. They want to steal the dog and also want a pound of flesh from the woamn. They won't be happy until they destroy her and her family.
Last night a mob of people protested in front of the woman's home threatening and harassing her. Others tried to break into her apartment. A heavy set blond woman used a ladder to try to break into the woman's apartment. The woman has video. This is the "model activist" who was attacking me because I refused to go break into the woman's apartment and steal the dog. Ironic considering she didn't get the dog. Then she should also be attacking herself for not doing the same.
07/14/2026 As far as I know the dog is still inside the apartment. Owner will not sell him or turn him over. Animal Control said the dog looked fine so they and LAPD won't do anything. Activists climbed on the roof to take videos into her balcony today. Some say they will break in and steal the dog. Others said they reported her to HUD so she and her children will be evicted. They reported her to Child Protective Services so she'll lose her kids. They're talking about protesting the woman and the management company at the building. Their goal is to harass and bully her into turning over the dog. They are threatening and harassing her online. These people are posting the mean nasty text and IM messages they are sending to her. They're trying to destroy her work and ability to make money. Are these things actually helping that dog? No. They're probably making it much worse. I personally feel if they didn't instantly attack her, she might have been open to education and free dog training. Now she won't. LAPD keeps getting called because of trespassers. And some of these people are still attacking me for not breaking in and stealing the dog by force. I would never do that. Some of these alleged animal activists just hate people.
Insta user @Zanmurai posted he was there today and animal control from Los Angeles Animal Services was also there, see still from video he took. Security also told me AC was there that morning. The ACO Officer allegedly stated the dog was in "immaculate shape" and that Kris Kelly and @Joey.tuccio are "talking fake news" about the dog. I assume that is paraphrased. I know Kris Kelly as an animal rescuer for many years. She is passionate. I can see how someone can look at all the dirty pee pads and the dog hanging off the balcony making it appear that the dog needs immediate help and think the situation is dire. Those pee pads are disgusting. I have seen @Joey.tuccio account. He appears to be a militant acting alleged animal rescuer. I don't see him going to the site or posting what he actually saw there. Also note that Zanmuari only talks back to ACO on video as he's walking far away. He didn't say those things to his face when he was right there. I would have asked questions on camera. Another note is everyone is saying dog NEVER has any food or water for over a month. If so, it'd be long dead. You need water to pee on a pee pad. You need food to shit on a pee pad. No water five days and it's dead. No food for 30 days and it's dead. These people are being overly dramatic. Many have even said the dog was dead or the woman beat the dog. The dog isn't dead. Now I have "model / activists / influencers" attacking me just to virtue signal, get street cred, get traffic to their account to "show" that they're a "real" activist. Attacking another activist, animal rescuer who actually physically tried to help the dog is anti activism. It hurts the cause. One model activist claims she is helping by getting a ladder and climbing into the woman's balcony. She still didn't rescue the dog or help it in any way. She just admitted to trespassing which is a crime. Then she yells at me for actually trying to help in a legal manner. Bunch of dumb asses.
Zanmuari said a woman is trying to get the dog from the woman. Their goal has been to harass and threaten her into handing it over. That sounds criminal to me. Another woman just said they are effing up the dog owner's current nursing training by contacting the school and threatening them. This isn't useful behavior. It's criminal harassment and interference.
ORIGINAL: We were called about an alleged neglected and abused dog on a balcony at Lafayette Park Place, Los Angeles, California. I won't mention the unit number. We went and investigated. A man entered the building and held the door open for me so I entered. I searched the front atrium. No animals on any balconies. I was going toward the rear atrium when I was stopped by security and asked to leave. I asked security, manager about the dog. They said animal control and police were there. The dog is fine. I left. As I was loading up the video in my car LAPD arrived. Security told me to tell everyone to leave the person and building alone. Situation is handled.

UPDATE 1: I've never been treated so poorly by alleged animal activists. I've been called every vile obscene name imaginable because I hadn't been there before I even knew about the existence of the dog. I've been threatened by animal activists because I didn't go there and break down all the doors and steal everyone's pets. While all you keyboard warriors are threatening me, I actually went there, investigated and tried to rescue an animal. I can't break down the door, assault people and steal pets. LAPD is there. I was told animal control was there. There's nothing more I can do. I took time off work, had no time to eat lunch today to go do this and just get treated like crap.
We don't work for the government. We are a small local animal rescue organization. We haven't had a donation in a long time so don't give me that story "I just donated to you so you have to get the dog!" No, you didn't! You nasty people need to get off your lazy behinds and do these rescues yourself. It's the out of state, out of country ones that are the nastiest telling me I'm no animal rescuer if I won't go assault the dog owner, manager, LAPD, animal control... and steal the dog. Do it yourself!!!
If there were a dog there, I'm sure it's gone now because of all the attention and threats. I can't believe I've been threatend by alleged animal activists just for going there and trying to help. Just got threatening harassing voicemail from alleged friend of woman with the dog. She said I'm doxxing the woman when I didn't post the apartment number even though I know it. The address is all over the entire internet. She said she has children. My post clearly states to leave this person and building alone. I'm obviously being sarcastic when I'm telling people to go trespass and rescue it themselves. I'm telling people not to do that even though people are yelling at me saying I must do that. I'm not going to do that. Again, I was allowed into the building legally.

To the person who said dog had blood on its neck, based on above video it's a red collar.
Here is video of LA Animal Services leaving after saying the dog was fine. Again fine means the owner was giving at least minimum legal care. It doesn't mean the dog is getting great care.
On a personal note you and I probably give the absolute best care to our pets. Legal standards for minimum care are much lower than what you and I would do. The dog legally has shelter which is basically just a cover or roof protecting from elements. He probably has a water bowl because he's peeing on the pee pee pads. If he hadn't been given water for five days, he'd be dead. He doesn't look thin from what I can tell. Hard to tell as he's hairy. There is nothing we can do legally if the dog is getting minimum legal care. The ACOs would only check to see if dog is getting basic minimum care. They can't do anything if he's getting basic legal care. Allegedly ACOs were there and said he's fine. Dog is not in the best home but nothing we can do about that if it's a legal home.
