Eric L Sakach Passes Away at 71 in Sacramento, California by Mary Cummins

Sad to hear about the passing of Eric Lane Sakach this morning in California. He was a Senior Law Enforcement Specialist at  The Humane Society of the United States now Humane World for Animals  who retired in 2020. Sakach served as an investigator from 1976 to 1995, and as director of the HSUS West Coast Regional Office from 1995 to 2008. He attended University of Nevada Reno and John Hopkins University. He is predeceased by his parents, Joseph G Sakach, Elizabeth Lane Shay, survived by his brother Gary, wife Kathleen Stanley, children Jenny Wilson, Jacque Jensen Dawson, and three grandchildren.  RIP. 12/24/1953 -11/18/2025. 

I first met him 15 years ago at a cockfighting raid in California. I was on the HSUS NDART team with him. Photos from the cockfighting raid 15 years ago.
