Our online reviews of Animal Advocates - Mary Cummins

Our online reviews of Animal Advocates - Mary Cummins

Here are about 1/5 of our online reviews from one site. They are all five stars, positive.

I've been a veterinarian for over 40 years in the Los Angeles area. I have worked with Mary Cummins for over 20 years. She and her organization have always given the best treatment to animals and the public. We have been referring wildlife and members of the public to Animal Advocates for many years. Everyone has always said they have a wonderful facility and everyone is knowledgeable and courteous.

It is a shame that *** has to pose a some anonymous users to defame and libel Ms. Cummins. What *** has been posting is utterly untrue and contemptible.

I support Mary Cummins and Animal Advocates. They help wild animals and people.

Last year she helped me wtih a skunk that wandered into my home. She removed it without it spraying. I was thankful. I haven't needed any help with wildlife since then. If I do, I will call her.

I had a squirrel that needed help. They helped me with a squirrel. I support them and Mary Cummins.

I have now volunteered for over ten years with this group. They really care about animals, cats, dogs and wild life. Highly recommend.

I support Mary Cummins and Animal Advocates. The negative posts here are from a very nasty and mean person in Texas who does not give proper care to animals. The nasty person writes false reviews because she's upset she lost her permit. AA has their permits. They give proper care to animals.

I volunteered with them when I lived in California. Even though I no longer live there, I still recommend them to my friends in Santa Monica.

Im not in the United States but Mary Cummins has been helping me from afar. We don't get raccoons but we get coatis which are similar. Her advise has helped our animals. I would help more if I lived there. I am willing to help support them.

I met Mary Cummins few years ago in Belize at a wildlife sanctuary. While she was in Belize she helped a coati and a few other animals. I recommend her group highly and follow them on Facebook.

I have been transporting animals for Animal Advocate for a few years. They always are willing to help. I'd donate more money if I could. If you are in LA, you should volunteer with them.

I have known the good people of Animal Advocates for the last four years, and in that time they have gone to great lengths to protect and rehabilitate the wild animals withing their general location. They have gone in to fire ravaged areas to retrieve any animal that may have been injured in the fire then rehabilitate that animal for release . . . they have also rescued a number of animals who were unable to be released back in to the wild then given them a forever home where they will be well cared for and live out the rest of their days, safe and loved.

They have even gone so far as to rescue a dog on the streets of East LA then fostered that dog until he could be placed in a furever home.

As always, they continue their great work, unwavering in the face of many challenges, with positive results, every time. I continue to support them and their great work. You should, too!

Mary Cummins and Animal Advocates are what other animal rescue groups should strive to be. They are compassionate, friendly, and concerned about every animal, be it wild or domesticated. They go in to fire ravaged areas to find any wildlife that had survived, and they've offered me advice on wild animals that I've found on my property; advice that's saved those animals lives.

They campaigned to make WeHo, fur free and tirelessly advocate for animals who cannot defend themselves. If there were one wild animal rescue to donate money, this would be the one!

Animal Advocates does everything they can to help rehabilitate wildlife that have been orphaned or injured so they can return to their lives in the wild. I've known Mary and MaryEllen for more than a few years now, and you have to applaud these women for their dedication to helping wildlife. How many rehabbers do you know that would go into an area recently consumed by fire to search for any animals who may be in need of medical services? Animal Advocates is just that great! And they always will offer advice to people who find an injured or orphaned animal. In my opinion, there is no finer wildlife rehab center than Animal Advocates in Southern California. In addition to their rehab work they also do educational seminars at schools so children are familiar with wildlife and what to and not to do when an orphaned or injured animal is found.

I can't really write a review. I'm far away in Germany. But I work on similar issues and from what I can see, Animal Advocates work professionally to save animals in distress. I'm impressed be the number of saved animals but also by the kind and professional way the animals are treated.
If I lived in the LA area, Animal Advocates would be first number to call if I aw animals in distress or danger.
I wish AA all the best in the future. They're worth every cent!

ANIMAL ADVOCATES is recognized locally, in the Greater Los Angeles area, as an invaluable resource for those of us in wildlife and domestic animal rescue, both as an informational source and badly needed sanctuary space. On the occasions that I have worked with them, our relationships have been only positive and professional, and we have a long-standing excellent working relationship. They are my local go-to resource for indigenous wildlife rescue matters. I have been in the rescue, sanctuary and educational field of canids for nearly 30 years, and have seldom come a cross an organization as well-run as this.

I first met Mary when she helped me to rescue a baby squirrel at my son's school. I didn't know what to to and she gave me advice to keep it alive until she could pick it up the next day and nurse it to health. Since then she has helped me a number of times with fledgling birds and other injured birds, even though I am not in her immediate area and birds are not her specialty.

She has never charged for her service and I give what I can when I can. She has been very responsive and professional.

We have encountered several animals in distress, and every time, no matter what time it is, or where we are, Animal Advocates has come to the rescue. Once it was a young crow, another time it was an opossum. They are professional, knowledgeable and caring.

This organization is all about the animals it rescues and rehabs. Mary has given her whole life to these amazing creatures and as always done what is best for them. She has also educated many individuals about the proper way to help our wildlife. As a donor, I have also helped in transportation of wildlife to her and we have also saved Mindy the blind squirrel that now lives in an amazing habitat at Animal Advocates/ Mark Cummins property because she is unreleaseable. Mary lives a very simple life and loves these animals and just wants to educate others as well.

My dogs knocked a 'possum from the top of a 6 foot fence surrounding my yard. I did not see him until the next morning, when one of my dogs came to get me and showed the 'possum to me, laying in the garden. At first, I thought he was dead, however, he was not. I had no idea what to do. I kept the dogs from him, he did not move. I went online looking for help and found Mary who actually drove to my house and picked this little animal up. She kept me posted with photos of his progress. Little guy made a full recovery and Mary relocated him. I was amazed at her dedication and grateful to have someone to call to help this little animal.

In 2007 my wife and I discovered an young fox squirrel in our backyard that didn't seem physically injured but instead was suffering either from something internally or perhaps some sort of shock. I called a variety of animal rescue organizations seeking help and Mary Cummins of Animal Advocates was the only one willing to step up and take over the care of this animal. I know on any given day based on their limited resources Animal Advocates might not be in a position to accept an animal from me, but I'm thankful knowing they're out there and doing the wonderful work they do.

Mary Cummins took a baby opossum from me that I found in my yard. She raised the baby to releasable age and then let her go to the wild. Since then she has generously answered any and all questions about wildlife and domesticated animals that I've had. She consistently goes above and beyond in her work with animals and people.
